Yin-Man TANG
- Portfolio Manager
- Over 5 years of experience as asset manager with GLG Partners in London where he oversaw all Asia ex-Japan investment trading strategies including convertible arbitrage, merger arbitrage, relative value arbitrage, volatility and directional trading. Mr. TANG was a member of the GLG Partners portfolio management team that oversaw US$8.5 billion in un-geared AUM, of which approximately US$2-3 billion of gross assets were attributable to the Asian portfolio.
- Over 4 years of experience as Asian portfolio manager for British Airways Pensions Investment Management Limited in London where he was responsible for asset allocation and stock selection within
the Asia Pacific region. Mr. TANG was responsible for managing two Asian portfolios totalling in excess of US$800 million. Between 1998-1999, according to the WM Company, the British Airways Asian
portfolio was ranked as the best performing fund out of a total of 1,640 funds surveyed.
- 2 years of experience as an Asian portfolio manager of Credit Suisse Asset Management Limited in London where he was responsible for country and stock selection in the Asia Pacific markets for accounts
in excess of US$50 million.
- Mr. TANG holds a BSc in Material Science with Management from Brunel University (UK), and an MBA in Finance from Nottingham University (UK). Mr. TANG has previously held licenses under the SFA (UK) as a securities representative since 1993, and has held a full version IMRO investment management certificate since 1996. Mr. TANG currently holds a Type 9 SFC (HK) license and is one of three Responsible Officers of Hindsight Investment Management (HK) Limited.
